The Story

About the Event

The 2026 New York State Disc Golf Championship brought together competitors from across New York for one of the state’s premier competitive events. Hosted on Long Island, the championship connected players through a shared experience of competition, community, and place while showcasing some of the region’s most recognizable landscapes and disc golf destinations.

Created as a commemorative piece for the event, this hoodie preserves the visual identity of the championship beyond tournament weekend. Like a poster from a historic event or a patch from a national park visit, it serves as a lasting record of participation in a specific moment in New York disc golf history.

The Artwork

The back graphic combines several iconic New York landmarks into a single illustrated composition. The Empire State Building anchors the center of the design, dividing coastal and woodland environments inspired by the championship venues. Printed with a weathered archival treatment, the artwork reflects the character of vintage travel posters and commemorative event graphics while documenting the unique sense of place associated with the 2026 championship.

A matching championship emblem appears on the front chest, creating a subtle everyday presentation while preserving the complete artwork on the reverse.

A Length

 

Place the end of a measuring tape beside the collar at the top of the garment (high point shoulder). Pull the tape to the bottom of the item.

B Width

Place the end of a measuring tape at one side of the chest area and pull the tape across to the other side of the product.

C Sleeve length

Place the end of a measuring tape at the center back of the collar, then pull the tape along the top seam of the sleeve. When you get to the shoulder hold the tape in place at the shoulder and continue to pull down the sleeve until you reach the hem of the sleeve.
